At the WAT future conference "Sports Clubs in Society 4.0" Hacker urgently called for participation in the debate on the development programme for Vienna's sports grounds. Guest speaker was FASresearch managing director Harald Katzmair. He outlined in a problem outline that with the decline of the classical industrial society in the 1980s, previous relationships such as the regulars' table or the family and also hierarchies such as the church have lost importance. In the age of digitalisation and social media, however, sports clubs in particular could create new forms of relationships. After all, a sports club is also a regulars' table, a team, but also a hierarchy that is also about winning.
