Network analysis, originally a scientific method for analyzing (social) relationships, is also very well suited as a tool for stakeholder management (not only) in the field of real estate project development.
Stakeholder management consists of identifying the stakeholders (and their representatives) who are crucial for the successful implementation of a project and their needs concerning the planned project. In addition, stakeholder management involves planning and implementing the formats through which the project developer builds or strengthens the relationships with specific external stakeholders by virtue of which they can be involved in the project development process.
You can find out more about the benefits of network analysis for real estate project development in our FASresearch article (only available in German) in the "Handbuch Immobilienprojektentwicklung" (Real Estate Project Development Handbook) published by Linde Verlag.
